Glynn Purnell’s Friday Night Kitchen

Everyone’s favourite yummy brummie Glynn Purnell is bringing back Friday Night Kitchen for 2016. The live cooking event takes place at Villa Park on Friday 7th October, with Michelin-starred Glynn taking to the stage and stove with celebrity guests Sam Bailey and Suzanne Virdee.

Also back is the #FridayNightFoodie competition where you can tweet @GPFNK a photo of your Friday night dinner using the hashtag #FridayNightFoodie for the chance to win two tickets to the event!

Each week will be themed, with the top dish each week becoming one of the finalists, automatically getting a place it this year’s Friday Night Kitchen cookbook, which will be handed out at the event (here’s a sneak peek at last year’s book!). Glynn himself will be choosing the winner from all the finalists to join him in October. It all kicks off from this Friday with the theme ‘your signature dish.’

If you’re not one for cooking but still fancy going along in October, tickets are on sale now, and as if seeing Glynn and a host of celebrities cooking live wasn’t enough, the one and only raffle prize on the night will give guests the chance to win a meal cooked at home by Glynn and his Purnell’s team for up to six people. A true a money can’t buy experience, where Glynn and his team will turn up, cook Sunday lunch and clean the kitchen before they leave!

Friday Night Kitchen will be raising money for the charity Cure Leukemia, of which Glynn is a trustee, and he’s hoping this year’s event will raise £150,000.

Glynn said: “I cannot wait to welcome Sam and other guests to my Friday Night Kitchen this October. I’m looking forward to hearing about her favorite food, so I can think up some delicious recipes for everyone on the night. I’m delighted with the way the event has grown over the last two years and proud to have helped raise such a phenomenal figure for Cure Leukaemia. I can promise that it will be another night full of fun, laughs, amazing music and, of course, great food!”

Tickets cost £135 per person and VIP tickets £155. Tables of ten can be secured for £1350 and VIP tables for £1550, with details at the new Friday Night Kitchen website.
